Our Partnership with Cleaner Climate

At Alsbridge, we are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint. Not satisfied with merely talking about our environmental goals, we set up a partnership with Cleaner Climate to determine the most effective ways we can offset our emissions.

Cleaner Climate conducts offset projects throughout the United States and around the world. All of the company’s endeavors are certified Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard, or Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), which means that each one must clearly showcase the emission reductions it created that would not have occurred without additional incentives or cap-exceeding penalties. Because these certifications are only awarded by third parties who inspect the companies vying for the title, the standards are the best way to ensure that the projects’ intended carbon reductions actually occur.

In addition to the VCS, CDM, and Gold Standard titles, Cleaner Climate projects are also verified by United Nations-endorsed companies that make up the Designated Operational Entities. DOEs were created to validate project proposals and make recommendations for registration; in addition, they give suggestions to the CDM Executive Board on issuing specific amounts of carbon credits to DOE-verified companies.

By adhering to Gold Standard and VCS guidelines, Cleaner Climate commits its projects to rigorous testing that evaluates host country eligibility, social sustainability, economic and technological impacts, and project type. All of these further serve to ensure an ecologically justifiable and environmentally beneficial effort.
